Today we are going to work on page 68 of our Natural Science book. On this page we are going to learn whether animals are living things or not.

Hoy vamos a trabajar la página 68 de nuestro libro de Natural Science. En esta página vamos a aprender si los animales son o no son seres vivos. 

Are you ready? Great!

¿Estáis preparados? ¡Genial!

Animals are living things because they are born, grow and reproduce, while non-living things like a rock or water, are not born, do not reproduce and do not die.

Los animales son seres vivos porque nacen, crecen y se reproducen, mientras que los seres no vivos como una roca o el agua, no nace, no se reproduce y no muere. 

Look at the image of the chicks. In photo 1 they born (born from the egg), in photo 2 the chicks grow and in photo 3 the chick has become a hen and the hen put eggs, it reproduces.

Fijate bien en la imágen de los pollitos. En la foto 1 nacen (Salen del huevo), en la foto 2 los pollitos crecen y en la foto 3 el pollito se ha convertido en gallina y la gallina pone huevos, se reproduce. 

Now we are going to do exercise 1. Put the pictures in their correct order. Use the stickers and then review the words.

Ahora vamos a hacer el ejercicio 1. Pon los dibujo en su orden correcto. Usa las pegatinas y después repasa las palabras.

In exercise 2 they asks us if we are living things. Are we living things? What do you think? Are we born, grow and reproduce?

En el ejercicio 2 nos pregunta si nosotros somos serves vivos. ¿Sómos seres vivos? ¿Tu que crees? ¿Nacemos, crecemos y nos reproducimos?.
